PS- let me know if you get any letters from "management"- ha ha
I'd like to give kudos to Mike for starting this thread. Pretty bold and honest considering the way some people (not all) post as if Mike Ness was readin the board. I tip my hat to you sir.
PS- let me know if you get any letters from "management"- ha ha
ha ha are they nazis or something? I'd be pretty disappointed if they were that uptight...
I'm still feelling management out- I'm not here to start shit against Social D- obviously I like the band- but I like to point our anytime they ineract with our community in order to heard us with the greater profit margin in mind. My message to "management":
I'm intoxicated, so bear with me...
I'm not causing you ant trouble- I'm not critizing this band- so back down- this is the UNOFFICIAL board if you'd remember- open up your own board and then feel free to make that a police state. Have I ever said anything I wasn't supposed to in order to get censured? This is Kevin's board- step off. You have more then had your chance to run a solid online community for this band under your own roof and for whatever reason, poor management or poor hiring choices, lack of resources, this band's online presence is in the toilet. I'll give you props- your merch is doing very well- but you're failing in the online sector. So soon we forget I had to create and maintain a BBS for Mike Ness while they were in the misdt of touring because things over there went to pot and members from your management team posted updates and cancellations on. I'm not the enemy- just don't like that you're trying to do a swindle in someone else's house. Sorry I pointed it out.
Management is bullshit. I criticize Ness for all sorts of stuff. Management, please email me to complain. I have some basic business tips for you guys.
Here's a sneak preview:
1. A business needs a product
2. A business needs a plan
Imagine the possibilities. Gimme a ring or text or whatever. Rebel Waltz mother fuckers.
hey telling them, ya really told 'em, ouch!!!!!!
I agree I'm in love w/my car sounds as dead as a doornail, but all the rest of the shit on Solitaire is pretty cool in my book. But hey, that's my opinion. That's what makes horse races interesting - different things for different people.
I agree with most of whats been said, except i do like Making Believe and Ghost Town Blues. As for Cheating @ Solitaire, some of em are kinda corny, some are good though. I think total acoustic sounds better, like the acoustic versions of Prison Bound, Making Believe, and Ball and Chain. He could do a lotta songs that would be good with just him and a guitar.
i tend to skip over "no pain no gain" on both records. I like the guitar riffs and the lyrics but i just cant sit through that song for some reason. i dont like when the angels sing that much either. for some reason, the creeps gets old too.
funny story, call me a groupie, but i put on roxy sometimes and from the moment i hit start, i play along with every song up through mass hysteria. I sing and play all mikes parts with the solos and everything and i even repeat the whole "little pussy pierced..." speach. I just have a lot of fun doing it.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Playing along with Live at the Roxy is great fun. It actually makes the record sound better because you can give more sound to the rhythm section. Ness and his Capo 2 piss me off though.Originally posted by wolfpits:

Man- I hate the pussy pierced speach....
Maybe it is because I'm a female- but I'm not offended by it, I just think it's in bad taste. And it was a hell of alot easier to be punk in OC, CA then it was in other parts of the country at that time- or even still today.
